HOW IT HAPPENED
• The Anchormen scored first in the 36th minute when freshman forward Cody Granville (Wakefield, R.I.) finished off a beautiful passing play to record his first collegiate goal. The assists were credited to freshman defender Alexander Bautista (Pawtucket, R.I) and graduate student forward Braeden Cannon (Cranston, R.I.) as the Anchormen built a 1-0 lead.

• The Anchormen would hold that lead into the second half. RIC held the lead in shots, 11-8, after 45 minutes.

• In the 67th minute, junior midfielder Anthony Recinos (Providence, R.I.) would capitalize on a great pass by graduate student forward Jonathan Oliveira (Providence, R.I.) to double the host's lead to 2-0.

• The Beavers would respond in the 75th minute as freshman forward Mohamed Adow (Auburn, Maine) would successfully convert a penalty kick to cut their deficit down to one.

• Oliveira would score on a penalty kick of his own in the 87th minute for an all-important insurance marker late in the contest.
