Providence, R.I.—Rhode Island College has named Andrew McCarthy as the assistant sports information director. He will assist Assistant Athletic Director for Media Relations and Promotions Scott Gibbons with all phases of the RIC sports information office.
 
"I can't wait to get started at Rhode Island College," McCarthy said. "I'm ready to see all the Anchormen and Anchorwomen in action."
 
McCarthy is a 2023 graduate of Nichols College where he earned a bachelor's degree in business administration with a concentration in sport management.
 
While at Nichols, he served as on-air talent for many of the Bison's 23 sports programs. McCarthy also edited video for social media and wrote press releases.
 
He also worked as a promotions associate with the Worcester Bravehearts of Futures Collegiate Baseball League (FCBL) during the summer of 2022 and was a game day operations intern with the Worcester Railers of the East Coast Hockey League (ECHL) during the 2021-campaign.
 
McCarthy resides in Uxbridge, Massachusetts.
