Providence, R.I.--Though she was not officially a member of the Rhode Island College athletic department staff, Deborah "Debbie" Iannucilli's effect on the athletic program and its student-athletes was huge. 

Deb passed away this past weekend. Deb was, for her entire time here at the college, assigned as the accountant for the department of athletics and recreation. She worked closely with the director of athletics in ensuring that all travel checks were produced on time for RIC's 21 intercollegiate teams, ensured all officials were paid in a timely fashion, and all reimbursements were done in an expeditious manner. This was no small task and actually a giant task! 

When interviewed on Monday upon hearing of Debbie's passing, Director of Athletics Don Tencher said, "She was petite in stature, but a giant when it came to keeping us operational. Most importantly, she was a tremendous person, always smiling, always professional and she will be missed beyond words. On behalf of the Department of Athletics and Recreation, I want to extend my sincerest sympathy to the Iannucilli Family.
