Providence, R.I.—Senior pitcher Shaun Gamelin (West Kingston, R.I.) was named an American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA)/Rawlings NCAA Div. III Third Team All-American for his performance during the 2023 baseball campaign.
 
Gamelin was previously named ABCA/Rawlings NCAA Div. III First Team All-Region 2, Second Team All-Region 2 by D3baseball.com and First Team All-Little East. Gamelin appeared in 13 games, starting all of them. He was 9-1 with a 2.93 ERA and 143 strikeouts in 89.0 innings of work. Gamelin established program records for single season and career strikeouts.
 
Head Coach Frank Holbrook 's team finished the 2023 season with a 30-13 overall record and a 15-1 (first place) mark in the Little East. The Anchormen captured the Little East Regular Season Championship for the first time in program history and hosted the league's tournament for the first time. RIC established a new program record for wins in a season and narrowly missed securing a spot in the NCAA Div. III Baseball Championship.
