HOW IT HAPPENED
• UMD ripped off eight straight goals in the opening quarter and led 10-1 after the first 15 minutes.
• Greene and sophomore midfielder
Hannah Marley (Tiverton, R.I.) each scored in the second stanza as the Corsairs built a 14-3 advantage at halftime.
• Greene added three ground balls and four draw controls on the day. O'Connell, the team's starting goalkeeper the past three seasons, was seeing her first action of the season between the pipes.
• UMD freshman midfielder
Maddie Wright (Mattapoisett, Mass.) had eight goals and two assists for 10 points, to go along with 10 draw controls and four ground balls.

Payton Conceicao (New Bedford, Mass.) had two saves in the win (6-3).
