Danbury, Conn.--The Rhode Island College women's lacrosse team opened the Little East portion of their schedule with a 21-0 setback at Western Connecticut on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Wolves scored early and often, putting the game away early with a nine-goal first quarter. RIC's offense was shutout, only mustering a handful of shots on-net all game.
 
• WCSU attackers senior Dominique DeMarsico (Danbury, Conn.) and freshman Gina Giambald (East Meadow N.Y.) each had four goals.
 
•  RIC junior goalkeeper Olivia Brennan (Portsmouth, R.I.) got the loss (1-8).
