HOW IT HAPPENED
• RIC and Regis traded goals in the 1:30 action, with Pride junior attacker Madeline Conover (West Newbury, Mass.) scoring first, which was answered by Marino's first 15 seconds later.

• The Pride took control after that, scoring six more goals in the opening period, as Conover and junior midfielder Kylee Marley (Westerly, R.I.) each netted hat-tricks to help the visitors build a 7-2 advantage.

• Regis scored five more goals over the first six minutes of play in the second quarter, enabling the 10-goal rule and allowing the game clock to continuously run. RIC wasn't able to make up the gap and fell for the second time this season.

• Marino had two goals, both of which were unassisted. Senior midfielder Shannon O'Connell (Narragansett, R.I.) assisted on the other two goals scored.

• Conover finished with five goals, while Marley scored three.

• RIC Junior goalkeeper Olivia Brennan (Portsmouth, R.I.) made eight saves in the loss (0-2).

• Pride freshman goalkeeper Daniela Mazo (Bridgeport, Conn.) earned her first collegiate win (1-0) with a 12-stop effort.
