HOW IT HAPPENED
• The Anchorwomen fell behind, 6-1, after the first 15 minutes of action. The second quarter proved to be much closer as MHC held a slight edge, 6-4, to take a 12-5 lead into halftime.
• RIC climbed within six, 16-10, with a 5-4 third quarter, but the hosts held the Anchorwomen to just one goal in the fourth frame to even their record at 3-3.
• Greene led the way with six goals, five ground balls, five draw controls and a pair of caused turnovers.
• Gibau tallied four times and led the squad with seven ground balls. She also had six draw controls.
• Junior goalkeeper
Olivia Brennan (Portsmouth, R.I.) had 11 saves in the loss (0-6).
• MHC freshman midfielder
Emi Bisson (Chester, Conn.) led the hosts with seven goals and four assists for 11 points to go along with 14 ground balls, five draw controls and five caused turnovers.
• Sophomore goalkeeper
Emma Tower (Dover, N.H.) stopped eight in the win (3-3).
