Gamelin and Gauthier Lead Anchormen in, 5-2, Win at Roger Williams

Bristol, R.I.—Senior pitcher Colin Gauthier (Pawtucket, R.I.) hurled four innings of scoreless relief, while classmate starter Shaun Gamelin (West Kingston, R.I.) secured his third win, as Rhode Island College won for the fifth straight game in a 5-2 decision at Roger Williams on Tuesday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Junior third baseman Cal Parrillo (Greenville, R.I.) staked the Anchormen to a 2-0 lead in the top of the first with a two-run double.
 
• The Hawks tied the game up, 2-2, on a two-run homer by senior left fielder Christopher Flynn (Randolph, N.J.) in the bottom of the second.
 
• RIC scored three times in the fourth, with RBI singles by junior designated hitter Cole Podedworny (Wakefield, R.I.) and senior second baseman Cole Peterson (Portland, Conn.) and a sacrifice fly by junior center fielder Cameron Santerre (Bristol, R.I.), to end the game's offensive output.
 
• Gamelin hurled a scoreless fifth before giving way to Gauthier who allowed just two hits and struck out four the rest of the way.
