Cal Parrillo (Greenville, R.I.) staked the Anchormen to a 2-0 lead in the top of the first with a two-run double.
• The Hawks tied the game up, 2-2, on a two-run homer by senior left fielder
Christopher Flynn (Randolph, N.J.) in the bottom of the second.
• RIC scored three times in the fourth, with RBI singles by junior designated hitter
Cole Podedworny (Wakefield, R.I.) and senior second baseman
Cole Peterson (Portland, Conn.) and a sacrifice fly by junior center fielder
Cameron Santerre (Bristol, R.I.), to end the game's offensive output.
• Gamelin hurled a scoreless fifth before giving way to Gauthier who allowed just two hits and struck out four the rest of the way.
