HOW IT HAPPENED
• Rhode Island College and Eastern Connecticut share the 2022-23 Little East Regular Season Championship. The two teams each went 15-1 vs. LEC competition and split the two meetings between each other.  The Warriors won a coin flip, which gave the Anchorwomen the No. 2 seed in the upcoming 2023 Little East Women's Basketball Championship, which begins on Tuesday, Feb. 21.

• It marks the third straight season that the Anchorwomen have won at least a share of the LEC's regular season crown. RIC was the outright champion in 2021 and 2022. It is the fifth LEC Regular Season Championship in program history.

• RIC was quickly able to gain a double-digit, 18-7, lead thanks to a layup by senior guard Jeniyah Jones (Randolph, Mass.) with two minutes left in the first quarter. The visitors would end the quarter up by 14, 23-9.

• After two scores from the Panthers opened up the second stanza, RIC took complete control and outscored the hosts, 16-2, from 7:56-3:11. The half ended with RIC up by 23, 45-22.

• RIC would go on the cruise for their 15th conference win, with sophomore forward Angelina Nardolillo (Hinsdale, N.H.) scoring 11 of her 17 points in the second half.

• Along with Jones and Nardolillo, seniors Neleesha Meunier (Leominster, Mass.) and Izabelle Booth (Newport, R.I.), as well as sophomore guard Madison Medbury (Scituate, R.I.), each scored 10 or more points.

• Freshman guard Sophie George (Meredith, N.H) and senior backcourt mate Jalen Cook (Monkton, Vt.) led Plymouth State with 14 and 13 points, respectively. Cook added six rebounds and a pair of steals.
