Izabelle Booth (Newport, R.I.) sank multiple clutch free throws in the final minute of regulation as No. 2-seeded Rhode Island College defeated No. 3-seeded UMass Dartmouth, 66-60, in the semifinals of the Little East Women's Basketball Championship at The Murray Center on Thursday evening.

THE FINALS MATCHUP
• The Anchorwomen advance to face No. 1-seeded Eastern Connecticut in the finals on Saturday, Feb. 25 (1 p.m.). The two clubs shared the 2023 Little East Regular Season Championship with identical 15-1 league records.

• It marks the fourth straight season that the Anchorwomen will play in the LEC Championship and the second time in that time span that they will battle the Warriors for the league crown.

• The two squads split the two regular season meetings with each squad winning on its own floor. The Anchorwomen won, 51-37, on Jan. 4 and fell at Eastern, 66-56, on Feb. 8.
• RIC tied the program record for wins in a season (23) with tonight's victory.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• RIC and UMD were deadlocked at 16 apiece after the first quarter. In the second half, the Anchorwomen were able to take a tight, 27-26, lead into halftime, with the last bucket of the half coming from senior guard
Antonia Corsinetti (Johnston, R.I.) with almost two minutes remaining.

• The Corsairs jumped out to a 9-0 run to make the game, 35-29, in the visitor's favor. Six of those points came from UMD graduate guard
Jordan Moretti (Johnston, R.I.). UMD held the lead for the majority of the third quarter, going into the final frame up by five, 44-39.

• RIC took the lead back after an 8-0 run to start the fourth stanza to give the hosts a three-point, 47-44, advantage. Sophomore guard
Dejah Middleton (New Haven, Conn.) hit two enormous three-pointers to give the Anchorwomen the lead.

• Both squads traded leads, with Moretti going to the line and converting both shots to give the Corsairs a two-point advantage, 56-54, with two minutes left. Corsinetti tied the game up with a pull-up jumper 10 seconds later.

• Sophomore forward
Angelina Nardolillo (Hinsdale, N.H.) and Moretti exchanged free throws again to knot the game up at 58 with less than a minute remaining.

• The Corsairs would miss a few good looks right at the basket, with Booth and senior guard
Jeniyah Jones (Randolph, Mass.) sealing the game at the charity stripe after being fouled.

• Nardolillo racked up a team-high 16 points and nine rebounds, with Corsinetti following her with 13 points and eight boards.

• Moretti had 21 points, eight rebounds, four steals and two assists in her final collegiate game.

• RIC has won the last eight contests with UMass Dartmouth.
