HOW IT HAPPENED
• The first half was quiet in terms of total offense, with only one shot on goal taken by each side over the course of the first 45 minutes.

• The second half showed some more excitement, as sophomore midfielder Tayshia Cary (Wakefield, R.I.) had two scoring chances just 30 seconds apart in the 50th minute. The first was shot over the crossbar, while the second was saved by UMD freshman goalkeeper Grace Conti (Shrewsbury, Mass.).

• The Corsairs had a golden opportunity of their own in the 81st minute when freshman forward Madison Depina (Holbrook, Mass.) took a shot after an Anchorwomen turnover. Angelone stonewalled the attempt with a quick save off of her left hand to keep the contest deadlocked.

• Conti stopped six shots to post her fifth shutout of the year (1-4-4).

• Angelone made five saves (7-0-2).

• RIC has two scoreless draws on its ledger this fall.
