Anthony Rivera (Staten Island, N.Y.) registered a double-double as the men's basketball team outlasted Castleton in overtime, 63-55, in Little East action played at The Murray Center on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Castleton led at halftime, 30-25.

• RIC was able to retake the lead, 33-32, with 16:35 left after a layup from junior guard
Kalu Uga (Hyde Park, Mass.). Castleton immediately went on a 9-2 run and led by six, 41-35, with just over 10 minutes remaining in the half.

• With just under five minutes remaining, Uga hit two free throws to cut the Spartan lead down to four, 51-47.

• With under one minute remaining in the second half, Castleton led by two, 55-53. Rivera was fouled and sank one free throw to cut the deficit down to one. Castleton turned the ball over, which led to another foul, where Uga hit just one of his two attempts, sending the game into overtime tied, 55-55.

• The Anchormen would hold the Spartans scoreless during the entire extra frame, winning by eight, 63-55.

• Junior center
Ousmane Kourouma (Woonsocket, R.I.) racked up another double-double with 22 points and 16 rebounds. Rivera contributed 19 points and 15 rebounds.

Carter Mackey (West Oneonta, N.Y.) led a balanced Spartan attack with 11 points.
