• Castleton got on the board right out of the gate when sophomore midfielder
Alex Billings (Carver, Mass.) scored her third goal of the season in just the sixth minute. Senior midfielder
Bella Varisco (Bangor, Maine) was credited with the assist on the play.

• The second half was a defensive battle, with neither side allowing a goal. Benedict made six saves in the half alone and Castleton held on for the 1-0 victory.
