Anthony Recinos (Providence, R.I.) converted a penalty kick opportunity as the Rhode Island College men's soccer team lost at Western Connecticut, 2-1, in Little East action played at the WAC on Saturday afternoon.

• WCSU freshman back
Filipe Dutra (Naugatuck, Conn.) was the first to score for either side, connecting from 26 yards out on a free kick in the 17
th minute.

• The Wolves held an 8-1 shot advantage and a 1-0 lead after 45 minutes of play.

• Dutra connected on his second goal of the day in the 76
th minute, with junior forward
Daniel Villalba (Fairfield, Conn.) picking up the assist.

• With time running down, Recinos lined up for a penalty kick and beat WCSU freshman goalkeeper
Zachary Benson (Milford, Conn.) in the 88
th minute. It was Recinos' second penalty kick goal of the season.

• Benson needed just one save to earn the win (5-0) and stay unbeaten on the year.

Wesley Perrotto (Pembroke, R.I.) made four saves, which included two crucial stops in the 31
st minute, in the loss (1-2).
