Daniel Trzepacz (Mont Vernon, N.H.) scorched three doubles as the Rhode Island College baseball team defeated Curry, 15-6, for the squad's fifth straight win on Thursday afternoon at Pontarelli Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Senior catcher
Alex Martinez (Cranston, R.I.) and sophomore center fielder
Cameron Santerre (Bristol, R.I.) each drove in a pair of runs in the bottom of the second inning to help RIC amass a 6-0 lead.

• Curry would not wait long to respond, putting up five runs in the top of the third. Freshmen third baseman
Brandon Polanco (Brooklyn, N.Y.) and freshman first baseman
Garrett Fosher (Exeter, N.H.) drove in two apiece in the frame.

• Curry would tie the game up in the fifth inning, 6-6. RIC would use another strong offensive inning to pull ahead for good, thanks to a two-run single by sophomore shortstop
Izaiah Rivera (Pawtucket, R.I.) and an RBI double from Trzepacz, his third two-bagger of the day.

Colin Gauthier (Pawtucket, R.I.) pitched 2.1 innings, while striking out the first six batters he faced, to earn his first win of the season (1-0).

• Trepacz was 3-for-5 with two RBI and three doubles. Rivera drove in a game-high four runs off of two singles.
