Auburndale, Fla.-Sophomore pitcher Terry Murray (Norfolk, Mass.) was near perfect out of the bullpen as the Rhode Island College baseball team picked up their first win of the season with a 7-4 victory vs. Crown at the RussMatt Invitational on Friday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Crown struck first, getting two runs in the first inning. RIC matched that production with two runs of its own in the bottom of the second. The third inning saw Crown get two more runs, giving the visitors a 4-2 lead.
• Sophomore outfielder Cameron Santerre (Bristol, R.I.) led the way in the bottom of the fourth, driving in one of the three runs the Anchormen would score to give the home team a 5-4 lead.
• Santerre scored in the sixth inning and senior outfielder
Joey Coro (North Providence, R.I.) crossed the plate in the seventh to give RIC a 7-4 lead. Junior closer
Shaun Gamelin (West Warwick, R.I.) would strike out the side in the ninth to earn his first save.
• Santerre went 1-for-2 with a pair of walks, runs scored and RBI, as well as one stolen base.
• Sophomore first baseman
Cal Parrillo (Greenville, R.I.) drove in a pair of runs for the Anchormen.
• Freshman pitcher
Mike Belcher (Norton, Mass.) started the game for the Anchormen, going four innings. Murray came in and tossed four scoreless innings of relief, striking out four and only allowing one baserunner to pick up the win (1-0).
• Crown senior outfielder
Kyle Schroedle (Redding, Calif.) went 2-for-4 with a two-bagger and sophomore shortstop
Mason Brock (Richmond, Texas) had two RBI.
• CC sophomore pitcher
Jacob Crowley (Norwich, Conn.) was saddled with the loss (0-2).
