HOW IT HAPPENED
• Heidelberg scored three runs in the second inning, then doubled that performance with six runs in the third to build a 9-0 advantage. Three of those runs came off the bat of HU graduate student outfielder
Keaton Mark (Oneota, N.Y.) thanks to a homer that sailed over the left field fence.

• RIC scored its lone one run when Grossguth plated freshman right fielder
Daniel Trzepacz (Mont Vernon, N.H.) in the fourth inning.

• Heidelberg would tack on a few more runs in the fifth and sixth innings to earn its first win of the season.

• Grossguth's double was his only hit, finishing 1-for-3 on the day.

• Trzepacz also had a double and went 2-for-3.

• Mark was 1-for-2 with a home run, walk, three runs scored and four RBI.

Ross Thompson (Wadsworth, Ohio) pitched six innings, allowing six hits, while striking out five batters, to earn his first win of the campaign (1-0).
