HOW IT HAPPENED
• RIC scored four runs in the bottom of the first inning, two of which came off a hard-hit double by freshman catcher Lucas Pierce (Chepachet, R.I.).

• JWU matched RIC with four runs of its own in the top of the third, with junior left fielder Griffin Snyder (Marietta, GA) hitting one off of the fence in left field that plated two runs.

• Both teams would add another run, keeping the contest equalized, 5-5, until the bottom of the sixth inning. RIC capitalized on two Wildcat miscues that led to five Anchormen runs and helped the hosts win for the fourth straight game.

• Parrillo had a double and a triple, drove in one run and scored twice.

• Senior left fielder Joey Coro (North Providence, R.I.) went 3-for-5 with a double and improved his LEC-leading RBI total to 24.

• JWU sophomore second baseman Jack Magane (Walpole, Mass.) drove in one of the six Wildcat runs and scored another, while going 3-for-4 and stealing a base.

• RIC freshman pitcher Nolan Potter (Pawtucket, R.I.) picked up his first collegiate win (1-1) with four innings of relief work.
