HOW IT HAPPENED
GAME ONE
• The Anchormen took a 3-0 lead in the bottom of the first, then used seven-run outbursts in both the third and sixth innings to end the game early via the 10-run rule.

• Sears saw a no-hit bid end on a single by Keene State senior catcher Michael Montembeault (Manchester, N.H.) in the top of the sixth. He allowed just one hit and struck out five in the win (3-1).

• Freshman first baseman Daniel Trzepacz (Mont Vernon, N.H.) went 4-for-4 with four runs scored, one double and an RBI. Senior left fielder Joey Coro (North Providence, R.I.) went 3-for-4 with three runs scored, a double and four RBI. Freshman catcher Lucas Pierce (Chepachet, R.I.) went 3-for-4 with two runs scored and five RBI.

• Keene State junior pitcher Brendan Muhs (Sparta, N.J.) took the loss (0-2).

GAME TWO
• Keene State took the early advantage in game two, going up, 1-0, thanks to an RBI single by junior first baseman Trent Mayer (Northport, N.Y) in the top of the fourth. RIC wouldn't be down for long, however, notching four runs in the bottom of the frame to go up by three, 4-1.

• The Anchormen would break it open in the bottom of the when sophomore second baseman Cal Parrillo (Greenville, R.I.) smoked a bases-clearing double into the right-center field gap. A total of six runs would cross that inning, which increased the Anchormen's lead to 10-2.

• The hosts added a run in the seventh to cap a 30-run effort on the day.

• Sophomore pitcher Terry Murray (Norfolk, Mass.) went seven complete innings and struck out six to pick up his second win of the season (2-0).

• Junior pitcher Josh Beayon (Pittsford, Vt.) took the loss (0-2).
