Providence, R.I.--Senior forward Jonathan Oliveira (Providence, R.I.) and classmate midfielder Brandon Ramos (Boston, Mass.) each scored as Rhode Island College shut out Keene State, 2-0, on Senior Day to secure a berth in the upcoming 2022 Little East Men's Soccer Championship.

Rhode Island College (3-7-4, 2-3-3 LEC)
Keene State (5-11-2, 3-5 LEC)

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Before the game, RIC recognized its five seniors: Nick Ouwerkerk (Bay Shore, N.Y.), Steven Schmidt (Saunderstown, R.I.), Roman Davis (Watertown, Mass.), Oliveira and Ramos, along with their families, on Senior Day.

• Oliveira scored what proved to be the game-winning goal in the 14th minute. He received a long clear out from Schmidt and beat three Owls down the sideline to tuck it past Keene senior goalkeeper Andrew Pasciuto (Abington, Mass.) for his fourth goal of the year.

• RIC got an important insurance goal in the 71st minute when sophomore midfielder Christion Restrepo (Central Falls, R.I.) was taken down in the box, which resulted in a penalty kick. Ramos buried the attempt into the bottom left corner for his second marker of the season.

• Junior goalkeeper Jake Reed (Cumberland, R.I.) notched his first career collegiate win (1-5-2) and earned his second shutout with a three-save performance.

• Pasciuto only made one stop in the loss (3-8-1).
