Providence, R.I.—Rhode Island College honored eight student-athletes as a part of its 2022 Senior Day celebration prior to the women's soccer team's, 3-0, setback vs. Southern Maine in Little East action played at Alumni Field on Saturday afternoon.

Eliza Roy (Camden, Maine) played a pass to classmate forward
Catriona Gould (Freeport, Maine) who sent in her league-leading 14
th goal past Benedict to give the visitors the 1-0 lead.
• In the 41
st minute, Roy again set up a USM goal, this time finished by sophomore midfielder
Aly Veilleux (Manchester, N.H.).
• In the second half, Southern Maine tacked on its third and final goal, this time from sophomore midfielder
Julia McKenna (Windham, Maine). She had another scoring opportunity earlier in the game, but missed the point-blank shot.
• The Huskies kept their undefeated conference season alive, outshooting RIC, 30-10.
• Benedict made eight saves in the loss (2-8-1).
• USM junior goalkeeper
Breanna Atwood (Franklin, Mass.) made five saves to pick up her 12
th win (12-1) and ninth shutout.
