Brandon Ramos (Boston, Mass.) scored his first goal of the season as the Rhode Island College men's soccer team fell at Eastern Connecticut, 3-1, in Little East action on Wednesday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• The Warriors wasted no time jumping into the lead as junior forward
Caleb Ennin (East Hartford, Conn.) was able to put home his second goal of the season in the fifth minute.

• In the 21st minute, ECSU senior midfielder
Andres Mayuri (West Hartford, Conn.) scored what proved to be the game-winner.

• Ramos was able to cash in his first goal right off the bat in the second frame. In the 52
nd minute, senior forward
Jonathan Oliveira (Providence, R.I.) swung a pass to Ramos who converted the scoring chance.

• A few minutes later, in the 65
th minute, Eastern got a big insurance goal when Mayuri and Ennin set up sophomore forward
Logan Brennan (Farmington, Conn.) for his sixth goal of the year and ESCU's third on the day.

• Both squads used two goalkeepers on the day.

Jake Reed (Cumberland, R.I.) got the start for the Anchormen and made two saves in the loss (0-4-1). Sophomore
Wesley Perrotto (Pembroke, Mass.) closed the game out with a three-save performance.

Dylan Pallank (Willington, Conn.) and sophomore
Nathan Yeich (Willington, Conn.) split the goalkeeping duties for the hosts and made two saves apiece.
