Bristol, R.I.--Freshman goalkeeper Reagan Kerecz (Tolland, Conn.) made six saves as the Rhode Island College women's soccer team fell at Roger Williams, 8-0, in non-conference action played at Bayside Field on Friday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Roger Williams jumped on the board first in the eighth minute when junior forward Bianca Robbins (Johnston, R.I.) found the back of the net to spark the Hawks offense.
 
• Robbins carried the offense for the Hawks, netting four first half goals, as the hosts took a 5-0 advantage into the halftime break.  
 
• RWU junior forward Leah Yucius (Duxbury, Mass.) also chipped in a first half goal.
 
• The Hawks offense didn't let up in the second half as senior midfielder Taryn Martel (Bellingham, Mass.) added a goal in the 56^th minute of action.
 
• The Hawks netted their eighth goal of the day in the 71^st minute as sophomore midfielder Ariana Montero (Milford, Conn.) tallied her first goal of the season.
 
• RIC freshman midfielders Jayde Fernandes (Pawtucket, R.I.) and Serena Forte (Hope, R.I.) led the club with a pair of shots each.
 
BY THE NUMBERS
• Kerecz made six saves in 68 minutes of action, while junior goalkeeper Maya Benedict (Tempe, Ariz.) corralled two saves in 22 minutes of action.
 
• RWU senior goalkeeper Morgan Strassburg (Longmeadow, Mass.) and junior netminder Sami Brody (Clinton, Mass.) combined for three saves and a shutout.
 
• RWU outshot RIC, 25-8, on the day and held the advantage in corner kicks, 7-1.
