HOW IT HAPPENED
• Senior goalkeeper Nicole Nunes (Smithfield, R.I.) was put to work early against the Warriors as the visitors posted six shots within the first 15 minutes, but all were blocked by the host's defense or saved by Nunes.

• Williams got on the board for her first collegiate goal in the 40th minute as senior defender Leah Saunders (Smithfield, R.I.) sent a free kick towards the box, which sophomore midfielder Sarah Pimentel (Cranston, R.I.) headed at Williams who then redirected it for the goal.

• Freshmen classmates Isabella DiGioia (West Kingston, R.I.) and Janessa McKay (Harrisville, R.I.) both had open chances to start the second half, but could not put them on net as the Warriors' defense held strong.

• RIC's defense could not hold on for the clean sheet as Eastern buried a goal after three successive shots in the 68th minute to level the score.

• Nunes and the Anchorwomen were able to hold the Warriors, who were undefeated in Little East action, to a tie, which was the second of the year for the visitors. She made 11 saves in a great effort.
