Emily Marino (Cheshire, Conn.) had a goal and two draw controls as Rhode Island College fell, 20-3, at Southern Maine's Hannaford Field in Little East women's lacrosse action on Thursday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• USM ripped off three goals to jump out to a 3-0 lead before the Anchorwomen were able to capitalize off a Husky turnover for junior midfielder
Olivia Carpenito's (Wilmington, Mass.) team-leading 11
th goal of the season.
• USM controlled the tempo of the half and took a 14-1 lead into the halftime intermission, which was highlighted by four goals from senior attacker
Megan Violette (Portland, ME) and four more from junior attacker
Rachel Shanks (Naples, ME).
• RIC was able to stop the 11-0 run by the Huskies when sophomore midfielder
Alyssa Silvestre (Warwick, R.I.) scored the first goal of the second half.
• The Anchorwomen added another goal when Marino netted her ninth goal of the season.
• USM kept the pace from the first half and cruised to a 20-3 victory.
• Shanks finished with a game-high seven goals. Violette registered six goals for the Huskies.

Alex Farley (Buxton, ME) added five goals and a pair of assists for seven points on the day.

• USM held the advantage in shots, 35-7, draw controls, 17-7, and ground balls, 17-5.
