Angelina Nardolillo's (Hinsdale, N.H.) double-double helped the Rhode Island College women's basketball team soar past Keene State, 55-45, in Little East action played at the Murray Center on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• RIC jumped out to a quick five-point, 7-2, advantage with 5:50 left to play in the first quarter thanks to five points from Nardolillo. The Anchorwomen would take that same margin into the first intermission, 14-9, and again at halftime, 26-21.
• The Anchorwomen held Keene State to just nine points in the third quarter, scoring 16 points of their own to hold a 42-30 led after three stanzas.
• A layup from junior forward
Neleesha Meunier (Leominster, Mass.) with 6:20 remaining in regulation gave RIC its biggest lead of the day (19 points), 51-32. The visitors would go on a 13-4 run to end the game, aided by several Anchorwomen turnovers, but ran out of time to complete their comeback bid.
• Nardolillo finished with 11 points and 12 rebounds for her second career double-double.
• Junior guards
Antonia Corsinetti (Johnston, R.I.) and
Jeniyah Jones (Randolph, Mass.) each scored 10 points for the hosts, with Jones also contributing a game-best five assists.
• KSU senior guard
Jenny Freedman (North Hampton, N.H.) was the only Owl in double-digits in scoring, contributing 10 points as well as three rebounds.
BY THE NUMBERS
• RIC shot 39 percent (12-for-54) from the floor, 25 percent (4-for-16) from downtown and 75 percent (9-for-12) from the free throw line.
• Keene State shot 33 percent (15-for-45) from the field, 24 percent (4-for-17) from behind the three-point arc and 69 percent (11-for-16) from the free throw line.
• RIC has won six of its last seven games and its last three in a row.
