Jeniyah Jones (Randolph, Mass.) registered career-highs with 11 points and eight rebounds as Rhode Island College fell, 77-62, vs. undefeated Babson at Staake Gymnasium on Wednesday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Babson junior forward
Samantha Smith (Greenfield, Mass.) canned a jumper with 12 seconds left in the first quarter to give the Beavers a 15-7 lead after 10 minutes.
• The hosts went on a 12-3 tear to build a 17-point, 27-15, lead with 5:41 left in the second stanza. Babson maintained that advantage and went into halftime with a 37-20 lead.
• RIC would fair no better in the third quarter as Babson outscored the visitors, 24-17, to head into the final frame up by 24, 61-37. The Anchorwomen won the fourth quarter, 25-16, but the deficit proved to be too much to overcome.

Angelina Nardolillo (Hinsdale, N.H.) finished with 10 points, three boards and a trio of steals.
• Babson sophomore guard
Kelly Walsh (Goffstown, N.H.) finished with 23 points, while Smith registered a team-best 10 boards to go along with eight points.
BY THE NUMBERS
• RIC shot 36 percent (24-for-66) from the floor, 32 percent (6-for-19) from three-point range and 53 percent (8-for-15) from the free throw line.
• Babson shot 50 percent (29-for-58) from the field, 64 percent (7-for-11) from downtown and 75 percent (12-for-16) from the charity stripe.
• The two teams combined for 45 turnovers as RIC lost control 25 times and the hosts committed 20 miscues.
• The Anchorwomen outrebounded the Beavers, 38-34.
• All three of RIC's losses have come against undefeated teams (MIT, Amherst and Babson)
