Angelina Nardolillo (Hinsdale, N.H.) scored a career-high 17 points and grabbed six rebounds as the Rhode Island College women's basketball team defeated Endicott, 74-54, for their first win of the 2021-22 campaign on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Rhode Island College broke a 7-7 tie on a layup by senior center
Willcia McBorrough (Providence, R.I.), which keyed a 7-4 run to put the visitors on top by three, 14-11, at the close of the first quarter.
• The hosts got within a point of RIC, 23-22, on a free throw by junior forward
Tara Laugeni (Woodbridge, Conn.) with 5:25 remaining in the first half, but back-to-back treys by junior guard

Izabelle Booth (Newport, R.I.) helped the Anchorwomen go into halftime up by seven, 31-24.
• RIC opened the third quarter on a 13-8 run, capped by a Nardolillo long ball, to build a 12-point, 44-32, advantage. The Gulls trimmed their deficit to eight, but RIC erupted for an 11-2 run to close out the stanza with a 55-38 lead.
• The visitor's lead never dipped below 11 points as the Anchorwomen capped a 20-point victory on a layup by senior guard

• RIC shot 46 percent (29-for-63) from the field, 42 percent (5-for-12) from three-point range and 85 percent (11-for-13) from the free throw line.
• Endicott shot 33 percent from the field (20-for-60), 17 percent (3-for-18) from long range and 79 percent (11-for-14) from the charity stripe.
• RIC dominated the glass (47-29).
