Amherst, Mass.--Rhode Island College freshman forward Angelina Nardolillo (Hinsdale, N.H.) finished with 13 points and five rebounds as the Anchorwomen lost, 64-42, vs. Amherst at LeFrak Gymnasium on Monday night.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Amherst raced out to a 15-point, 22-7, lead in the first quarter, then outscored the Anchorwomen, 14-6, in the second stanza to take a 36-13 advantage into halftime.
 
• The visitors led in the third quarter, 15-11, but still trailed, 47-38, heading into the final 10 minutes. The Mammoths outscored RIC, 17-14, in the final stanza to stay unbeaten on the season.
 
• RIC junior forward Izabelle Booth (Newport, R.I.) finished with eight points and five boards.
 
• Amherst had four players score in double figures, led by sophomore guard Reeya Patel's (Saline, Mich.) 13 points and eight boards. Freshman guard AnLing Vera (Cerritos, Calif.) matched Patel with 13 points in the win.
 
BY THE NUMBERS
• RIC shot 29 percent (15-for-52) from the floor, 33 percent (4-for-12) from three-point range and 62 percent (8-for-13) from the free throw line.
 
• Amherst shot 42 percent (23-for-55) from the field, 57 percent (8-for-14) from downtown and 83 percent (10-for-12) from the charity stripe.
 
• The Mammoths led in rebounding, 39-32, and committed three less turnovers, 11-8, then the Anchorwomen.
