Box Score Myrtle Beach, S.C.—Sophomore third baseman Katrina Kazen (Warwick, RI) went 2-for-3 with two runs scored, a triple and two RBI as the Rhode Island College softball team defeated Penn State-Abington, 16-0 (five innings), on Tuesday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• RIC led, 4-0, heading into the fourth inning. The Anchorwomen buried PSU-Abington with a 12-run fourth frame.
• The Anchorwomen pounded out 15 hits on the day. It marked the third straight game RIC has ended the game early due to the eight-run rule.
BY THE NUMBERS
• Junior right fielder Erica Fluskey (Trumbull, CT) went 2-for-4 with a run scored and two RBI. Senior first baseman Amber Wainwright (Taunton, MA) went 2-for-3 with two runs scored, a double and three RBI. Sophomore second baseman Marissa Cushman (Cranston, RI) scored three runs.
• Junior pitcher Riley Kernan (Middletown, NJ) allowed just one hit and struck out nine to earn her first win (1-1). She also went 3-for-3 with a run scored, one double and an RBI.
