Seven Anchorwomen Earn All-Little East Honors in Softball

Providence, R.I.—Rhode Island College senior second baseman Noelle Simmons (Goffstown, N.H.), junior right fielder Sydney Duclos (North Providence, R.I.) and sophomore first baseman Jillian Guilfoyle (Derby, Conn.) were each named First Team All-Little East, while four additional Anchorwomen picked up All-LEC awards, for their respective performances in softball during the 2026 season.
 
Simmons capped her career with her third consecutive First Team All-LEC selection. She played in 41 games, starting 40 of them. Simmons batted .393 (57-for-145) with 57 runs scored, 57 hits, 13 doubles, 12 triples, four home runs, 32 RBI and two stolen bases. She owned a .731 slugging percentage, a .454 on-base percentage and a .971 fielding percentage.
 
Guilfoyle played in 41 games, starting all of them. She batted .464 (58-for-125) with 16 runs scored, 58 hits, seven doubles, two triples, 36 RBI and one stolen base. Guilfoyle owned a .552 slugging percentage, a .518 on-base percentage and a .996 fielding percentage. She struck out just once in 142 plate appearances.

Duclos was named First Team-All Little East. Duclos played in 39 games, starting 38 of them. She batted .371 (33-for-89) with 23 runs scored, 33 hits, five doubles, four triples, 24 RBI and nine stolen bases. She owned a .517 slugging percentage, a .440 on-base percentage and a .915 fielding percentage.
 
Senior center fielder Sophia Crudale (Cranston, R.I.) was named Second Team All-Little East. She was a Second Team All-LEC selection as a sophomore in 2024. Crudale played in 41 games, starting all of them. She batted .313 (42-for-134) with 32 runs scored, 42 hits, five doubles, one triple, one home run, 24 RBI and nine stolen bases. Crudale owned a .388 slugging percentage, a .365 on-base percentage and a .986 fielding percentage.
 
Junior left fielder Melanie Earley (Lumberton, N.J.) was named Second Team All-Little East. She played in 41 games, starting all of them. Earley batted .360 (45-for-125) with 29 runs scored, 45 hits, nine doubles, one triple, three home runs, 31 RBI and three stolen bases. She owned a .520 slugging percentage, a .443 on-base percentage and a .902 fielding percentage.
 
Freshman pitcher Mia Crudale (Cranston, R.I.) was named to the Little East Softball All-Rookie Team. She appeared in 23 games, starting 15 of them. Crudale was 15-2 with a 2.76 ERA and 84 strikeouts in 126.2 innings of work.
 
Freshman designated player Lily Bell (Coventry, R.I.) was named to the Little East Softball All-Rookie Team. She played in 35 games, starting 27 of them. Bell batted .291 (23-for-79) with 15 runs scored, 23 hits, four doubles, one triple, four home runs and 19 RBI. She owned a . 519 slugging percentage, a .370 on-base percentage and a .875 fielding percentage.
 
Head Coach Lauren Hatfield's team finished the 2026 season with a 27-14 overall record and a 9-7 (fifth place) mark in the Little East.
 
The No. 5-seeded Anchorwomen defeated No. 4 Eastern Connecticut, 5-3, on May 7, No. 1-seeded VTSU Castleton, 4-3, on May 8 and No. 6-seeded UMass Boston, 4-3, on May 9 to reach the finals of the 2026 Little East Softball Championship. No. 2-seeded UMass Dartmouth downed RIC twice (2-1, 8-3) claim the title on May 10 to win the championship.
