Weston, Mass.-Senior midfielder Aliyah Colvin (North Providence, RI) netted her first goal of the season as Rhode Island College women's soccer team was defeated by Regis College, 3-2, on Tuesday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• An early Anchorwomen opportunity came in the fifth minute of action when senior midfielder Breanne Ford (Schenectady, NY) launched a shot that was saved by Regis sophomore goalkeeper Ori Attridge (Westwood, MA) to keep the game scoreless. 

• Regis broke the scoreless tie in the 24th minute of action when sophomore forward Kaylee Francis (Millis, MA) was able to fire off a shot and beat the defense.  

• The Anchorwomen knotted the game up when Colvin was set up from a pass by sophomore midfielder Hayley Rich (Chaplin, CT) in the 48th minute.

• The Pride were able to retake the lead in the 70th minute when junior forward Emma Mendes (Pawtucket, RI) took a pass from Francis and scored.

• RIC quickly answered back in the 71st minute when Rich was able to find the back of the net off of a pass by junior forward Soliel Galagarza (Pawtucket, RI).  

• Regis was able to find break the tie once again and for the final time, when junior midfielder Emily Lange (Ashland, MA) received a pass from Francis to beat RIC senior goalkeeper Erica Edwards (North Kingstown, RI) in the 86th minute and secure the win for the Pride.

BY THE NUMBERS
• Edwards made three saves in the loss (2-4)

• Regis sophomore goalkeeper Angie Caldwell (Goffstown, NH) made one save when she entered the game in the second half and was credited with the win. Sophomore goalkeeper Ori Attridge (Westwood, MA) made four saves in a scoreless first half. 

• RIC outshot Regis, 14-12, but the hosts led in corner kicks, 9-1.

WHAT'S NEXT
In upcoming action, Rhode Island College will open Little East play at home vs. Keene State on Saturday, Sept. 21 (1 p.m.).
