Providence, R.I—Junior middle hitter
Andrayah Williams (North Providence, R.I.) notched 10 kills and hit .364 as Rhode Island College fell, 3-0, vs. UMass Dartmouth in Little East action played at The Murray Center on Wednesday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• An attack error from RIC forced a timeout from the hosts, but the words of encouragement were not enough to disrupt UMD's offense from finishing out the first set, 25-17.
• The Anchorwomen were down eight points, 20-12, at one point in the second frame and tried to claw back, but the discipline and consistency in attacks powered the visitors to a set-two victory.
• The Corsairs were relentless all evening, giving the Anchorwomen a tall task at a comeback in the third stanza as the hosts brought their deficit back to four, 24-20, after being down 18-10 earlier in the period.
• However, RIC was stumped by the Corsairs who remained undefeated in Little East action.
• Junior libero
Carolyn Bailey (Ipswich, Mass.) led the way defensively once again with a team-high 14 digs.
• Junior setter
Yuleisy Alvelo (San Juan, Puerto Rico) paced the offense with 12 assists and chipped in on defense with eight digs. Junior right side hitter
Talia Lewis (Sacramento, Calif.) finished with six kills.
