Providence, R.I—Junior middle hitter
Andrayah Williams (North Providence, R.I.) hit. 450 and knocked down a team-best 11 kills as Rhode Island College fell, 3-1, vs. UMass Boston in Little East women's volleyball action played at The Murray Center on Saturday morning.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• The Beacons built a 24-23 lead in the first set and had set point on seven possessions before they were able to close out a defiant Anchorwomen squad, 30-28.
• UMB took the second set, 25-19, but the hosts capitalized on poor hitting and serving by the visitors to prolong the match with a 25-19 win in the third set.
• The Beacons racked up 16 kills, while committing just one hitting error, in a decisive, 25-14, victory in the fourth frame.

Sarina Marines (Cranston, R.I.) registered nine kills and 11 digs, while classmate setter
Yuleisy Alvelo (San Juan, Puerto Rico) posted a double-double with 21 assists and 16 digs.
