Alex Place begins her fourth season as the assistant women's soccer coach at Rhode Island College.

Place played two seasons of women’s soccer at Johnson & Wales University as a goalkeeper. She played in 38 games, starting 35 of them, and compiled a 16-15-3 overall record to go along with seven shutouts. She posted a 1.55 career goals against average and a .720 save percentage.

Place also starred in both soccer and softball while at the Community College of Rhode Island. She was a Second Team All-American in 2013 and a two-time All-Region 21 selection during her career in soccer. Place was named a Distinguished Student-Athlete by the Rhode Island Association for the Intercollegiate Athletics for Women (RIAIAW) in 2014. She was an All-Region and All-District selection in softball during her career at CCRI.

She earned a bachelor’s degree in sports entertainment and event management from Johnson & Wales in 2017.
