Biography

Career: Played in 73 career games, starting 71 of them...totaled 11 goals and eight assists for 30 career points.

Senior Year (2016): Named Second Team All-New England and First Team All-Little East...played in 20 games, starting 19 of them...finished the season with seven goals and two assists for 16 points...his seven goals ranked him 11th in the Little East, while his 16 points was good for 12th in the conference...scored all four goals, which included the game-winner, in the team’s, 4-2, win over Plymouth State on Oct. 22...named the Little East Conference Men’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week and the Defensive Player of the Week once on the season.

Junior Year (2015): Played in 17 games, starting 16 of them...recorded two goals and two assists for six points...recorded one goal in a 3-2 setback against Elms on Sept. 5...Monteiro scored one goal in a 2-1 loss to UMass Boston in the LEC Tournament title game on Nov. 7...recorded one assist in a 3-1 victory over Keene State on Oct. 10...registered one assist on the game-winning goal in a 1-0 victory over Eastern Connecticut in the LEC semifinals on Nov. 4.

Sophomore Year (2014): 
Played in 18 games, starting all of them...recorded one assist on the year for one point...recorded his assist on the game-winning goal in a 2-1 double overtime victory over Framingham State on Sept. 23.

Freshman Year (2013): Played in 18 games, starting all of them...he totaled two goals and three assists for seven points on the year, which ranked fourth on the squad...also finished in a tie for second on the team in assists and tied for fifth on the team in goals...registered his first career goal in RIC, 3-3, season-opening draw vs. Ramapo on Aug. 30 and recorded his first career assist a day later in a 2-1, double overtime victory over TCNJ...also contributed a key goal for the Anchormen in their, 3-2, win over Bridgewater State on Sept. 18.

High School: Three-time All- Division honoree while at Tolman High School...2013 graduate...named Player of the Month (Oct.) during his senior year.

Personal: Born September 14, 1994...physical education major...minor in coaching.
