Daniel Jones begins his sixth season as an assistant men’s basketball coach at Rhode Island College.

Jones came to RIC after spending two years as an assistant coach at Medaille College. At Medaille, Jones helped lead the team to a 21-7 mark in 2016-17 and an appearance in the NCAA Div. III Tournament.

He has served as a camp counselor throughout the Northeast region, working at the Carmelo Anthony Camp, the Howard Garfinkel Coaching Clinic, the Columbia University Basketball Camp and the Hofstra University Elite Camp.

Jones served as the team manager both as an undergraduate and graduate student at Hofstra. He earned a bachelor’s degree in elementary education and American studies from Hofstra in 2012. He earned a master’s degree in education from Hofstra in 2015.
