Providence, R.I.--Junior forward Caitlyn Terceiro (Warren, R.I.) registered her fourth goal of the season, which proved to be the game-winner, as Rhode Island College took down previously undefeated Curry, 1-0, at Alumni Stadium on Wednesday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Despite an early attack by the Colonels, the Anchorwomen registered the first chance of the game in the fourth minute as freshman midfielder Isabella DiGioia (West Kingston, R.I.) saw her shot ricocheted off the near post.
 
• RIC had four more shots on net after DiGioia's try, however, none could break through for the game's first goal.
 
• Terceiro found herself with an opportunity just outside the 18-yard box on passes from sophomore midfielders Bryn Williams (Hope, R.I.) and Katie Ignagni (Warwick, R.I.) in 2th minute and the forwarded scored for the fourth time in the past two games.
 
• Senior forward Amber Almeida (Sturbridge, Mass.) had a quality chance in the 52nd minute, but her shot was saved and kept the contest at a one-score match.
 
• The Colonels had a near chance at the end of the game in the 89th minute, but senior goalkeeper Nicole Nunes (Smithfield, R.I.) was able to hold on for the clean sheet.
 
• Senior defenders Yassin Joof (Johnston, R.I.) and Leah Saunders (Smithfield, R.I.) paced the RIC defense, which allowed just four shots on goal.
 
• Nunes made four saves and moved to 3-0 with her second shutout win of the season.

In upcoming action, Rhode Island College will open Little East play at home vs. Plymouth State on Saturday, Sept. 12 (2 p.m.).
