Fitchburg, Mass.--Senior outside hitter Sarina Marines (Cranston, R.I.) and junior pin hitter Olivia Rollinson (Coventry, R.I.) combined for 15 kills to pace the Anchorwomen in a 3-0 sweep vs. Fitchburg State at FSU's Recreation Center on Friday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Marines and classmate outside hitter Marina Colonis (Waterford, Conn.) helped RIC rattle off five straight points to build an 11-point, 18-9, advantage en route to a dominating first set victory.
 
• After trailing by one, 15-14, in the second, the Anchorwomen capitalized on bad sets and attack errors in the frame, but it was also Colonis who notched three aces in a stretch of nine consecutive points to give the Anchorwomen an eventual two-set advantage.
 
• It was a tight third set, as Fitchburg State tied the game at both 22 and 23, before both Marines and Rollinson notched back-to-back kills to seal the victory.
 
• Colonis finished with five kills and six services aces.
 
• RIC was coming off a 3-0 win over Salem State last night at The Murray Center.

In upcoming action, Rhode Island College will play at Worcester State on Tuesday, Sept. 8 (6 p.m.).
