Westfield, Mass.-- Senior Max Nasser (Middletown, R.I.) and sophomore Ryan Gervais (North Providence, R.I.) tied for seventh as Rhode Island College finished second by just one stroke at Westfield State's Brett Williamson Invitational, played at Tekoa Country Club on Wednesday afternoon.
 
THE BASICS
• The Anchormen tied for second with a team score of 322 (+38). Lesley won the title with a team score of 321 (+37). RIC tied with the hosts.
 
• The course was a par-71 and measured 6,438 yards.
 
• 11 teams 57 golfers competed at the event.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
• Nasser and Gervais each carded a 79 (+8) to tie for seventh.
 
• Senior Kyle Cullen (Glocester, R.I.) tied for 11^th with a score of 80 (+9).
 
• Sophomore Brady Pongvongkeo (North Providence, R.I.) tied for 25^th with an 84 (+13).
 
• Senior Mike Decesare (Cranston, R.I.) tied for 43^rd with an 89 (+18).
