Boston, Mass.--Senior classmates Andrayah Williams (North Providence, R.I.) and Sarina Marines (Cranston, R.I.) combined for 18 kills as Rhode Island College fell vs. Muhlenberg, 3-2, at a tri-match, hosted by Emerson at Brown and Plofker Gym on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• After a service ace by junior defensive specialist Caroline Morrell (Gorham, Maine) made it, 21-20, in RIC's favor late in the first set, the Mules rattled off four of the last five points to win, 28-26, despite a pair of kills from Marines.
 
• Williams posted a pair of big kills late in the second frame to tie the sets up at one apiece with a dominant, 25-15, showing.
 
• However, Muhlenberg found their footing again and took a 2-1 lead with a 25-15 win in the third stanza.
 
• The Mules' nine attack errors gave the fourth set to the Anchorwomen, 25-15, as the match would come down to a decisive fifth frame.
 
• A 9-0 run right off the bat in the last stanza was too much of a deficit for RIC to overcome, as Muhlenberg would snap the Anchorwomen's win streak.
 
• Senior setter Grace Luchka (North Scituate, R.I.) registered 19 assists. Freshman middle hitter Aliyah Evora (East Providence, R.I.) posted a match-best six blocks.
