Providence, R.I.--Senior outside hitter Sarina Marines (Cranston, R.I.) registered 12 kills, five service aces and five digs as Rhode Island College swept Suffolk, 3-0, at The Murray Center on Thursday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• The Rams grabbed the early momentum with a rally, but it was the hosts who thrived behind a pair of aces by Marines to lead the Anchorwomen to a 25-19 opening-set win.
 
• A service error by the Rams that would have tied the game at 14 apiece in the second frame proved to be costly. RIC promptly went on a 10-3 burst, which would eventually seal the set for the hosts, 25-22.
 
• Senior middle hitter Andrayah Williams (North Providence, R.I.) registered three of her seven kills in the third and final set, in which RIC completed the sweep, 25-18.
 
• Williams finished with a .545 hitting percentage and senior classmates Yuleisy Alvelo (San Juan, Puerto Rico) and Grace Luchka (North Scituate, R.I.) combined for 29 assists with 15 and 14, respectively.
 
• Senior libero Carolyn Bailey (Ipswich, Mass.) led the Anchorwomen defense with nine digs.
