Hingham, Mass.--Senior Mike Decesare (Cranston, R.I.) and sophomore Brady Pongvongkeo (North Providence, R.I.) tied for second as Rhode Island College finished first at Emmanuel's Saints Invitational, played at South Shore Country Club on Wednesday afternoon.
 
THE BASICS
• The Anchormen finished first overall with a team score of 328. Lesley finished second (345) and the hosts placed third (348).
 
• The course was a par-72 and measured 6,270 yards.
 
• 15 golfers competed at the event.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
• Decesare and Pongvongkeo tied for second with an 81 (+9).
 
• Sophomore Ryan Gervais (North Providence, R.I.) and senior Max Nasser (Middletown, R.I.) each tied for fifth with an 83 (+11).
 
• Sophomore Nicholas Flori (Johnston, R.I.) finished 10^th with an 87 (+15).

In upcoming action, Rhode Island College will compete at the Mitchell Invitational III on Wednesday, Sept. 16.
