Providence, R.I.—Rhode Island College senior
Li hsiu Hou (Kingston, R.I.) of the women's tennis team received the Bourget Family Award at the college's annual Cap and Gown Day held in Roberts Hall on Wednesday afternoon.
The award is given out annually to an outstanding Rhode Island College student-athlete or student involved with intercollegiate athletics who plans on attending graduate school following the conclusion of their collegiate career.
Hou has helped the Anchorwomen post a 16-0 overall record and claim the 2025 Little East Regular Season and Tournament Championships.
The Anchorwomen will be competing in the 2026 NCAA Div. III Women's Tennis Championship next week.
Hou is 10-2 at No. 6 singles on the season. For her career, she is 27-3 in singles action and 13-4 in doubles play. She has twice been named to the Little East Women's Tennis All-Sportsmanship Team.
Hou is an accounting major.
