Providence, R.I.—Sophomore Ethan Clegg (Chepachet, R.I.) won his second match of the season at No. 1 singles as Rhode Island College defeated Norwich, 6-1, at the RIC Tennis Center on Wednesday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• RIC swept doubles action to earn the contest's first point. Clegg and classmate James McShane (Riverside, R.I.) scored a 6-0 shutout at second doubles.
 
• The hosts made quick work of the Cadets in singles as McShane, junior Liam Berube (Warwick, R.I.) and freshman John Vaughan (East Providence, R.I.) each won in straight sets to clinch the win.

In upcoming action, Rhode Island College will close out the regular season with its final Little East contest at home vs. Salem State on Saturday, April 25 (1 p.m.).
