John Vaughan (East Providence, R.I.) remained undefeated in singles action as Rhode Island College suffered its first Little East setback of the season in a 5-2 decision at Bridgewater State on Tuesday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• The Bears swept all three doubles matches to head into singles with a 1-0 advantage.
• Sophomore
Ethan Clegg (Chepachet, R.I.) cut it to a 2-1 deficit with a win at second singles, but BSU won the next two matches to secure the win.
• Vaughan battled back from a first set loss (5-7, 6-2, 6-2) to improve to 9-0 with a win at No. 5 singles.
• The Anchormen saw an eight-match win streak come to an end in the loss. RIC is currently in second place in the Little East with one conference match left to play.
