Warwick, R.I.--Senior Jasper Bruins Slot (Scituate, R.I.) tied for second place as the Anchormen finished third (nine teams) at the 2026 Rhode Island College Spring Invitational, played at Valley Country Club on Friday and Saturday afternoon.
 
THE BASICS
• The course was a par-72 and measured 6,508 yards.
 
• The Anchormen finished third (nine teams) with a two-day combined score of 611 (303, 308; +35). Wesleyan won the invitational with a score of 597 (298, 299; +21).
 
• 45 golfers competed at the event.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
• Bruins Slot finished tied for second with a two-day score of 146 (73, 73; +2).
 
• Junior Mike Decesare (Cranston, R.I.) tied for eighth with a two-day score of 151 (76, 75; +7).
 
• Senior Kyle Cullen (Glocester, R.I.) finished 13th with a two-day score of 153 (75, 78; +9).
 
• Freshman Brady Pongvongkeo (North Providence, R.I.) finished 33rd with a two-day score of 161 (79, 82; +17).

• Freshman Nicholas Flori (Johnston, R.I.) finished tied for 36th with a two-day score of 163 (80, 83; +19).
