Willimantic, Conn.—Rhode Island College claimed five first place finishes as the Anchormen took home second overall at the Bonnie Edmondson Classic, hosted by Eastern Connecticut State on Friday.
THE BASICS
• The Anchormen finished second (eight teams) with a team score of 136.0. Eastern Connecticut won the meet with a team score of 166.0.
THE TOP PERFORMERS
• Senior
Loudon Chupas (Colchester, Conn.) finished first in the high jump (1.95m), second in the javelin (51.31m) and 21st in the 100m (11.70).
• Sophomore
Jack McEntee (Foster, R.I.) finished first in the 400m hurdles (54.71) and second in the 4x100m relay (42.76).
• Junior
Enrique Edjang (Providence, R.I.) finished first in the hammer (55.53m).
• Sophomore
Owen Schenck (Warren, R.I.) finished first in the 800m (1:54.78).

Joshua Dabanka (Providence, R.I.) finished first in the triple jump (13.21m) and 11th in the long jump (6.09m).
