Parker Camelo (Bristol, R.I.) went a combined 3-for-9 with a pair of runs scored and a triple as Rhode Island College lost a pair of close Little East contests vs. Eastern Connecticut at the Spartan Baseball Field on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
GAME ONE
• The Warriors struck first in the second inning as they registered four runs and plated a lone run in the third for a 5-0 lead.

• Sophomore left fielder
George Threats (Cranston, R.I.) doubled in the sixth, which was one of three runs for the visitors, but another run from Eastern in the seventh pushed RIC back a step to make it, 6-3.

• Camelo scored in the sixth to bring the Anchormen closer, but the visitors would not get any closer.

Jace Wolfradt (Pawcatuck, Conn.) went 1-for-4 with a pair of RBI.
• Junior pitcher
Casey Williams (Watertown, Mass.) took the loss (0-4).

GAME TWO
• An RBI-double by senior right fielder
CJ Almagno (North Providence, R.I.) put the Anchormen ahead, 1-0, in the first.

• However, Eastern tied it up in the bottom of the first, and eventually took the lead in the fifth to cap the game's scoring.

Cameron Laramee (Pascoag, R.I.) went four innings and was handed the defeat (1-1).
